I know of some of that. My mother had a garden and taught me a little about it.

[she pauses for a moment; she hasn't thought about that in a long, long time. Though she was pretty sure the magic she was taught back then wouldn't work here]

But alright. I will bring you what I want to grow.

Perhaps, but these are plants native to Azeroth, and we do not exactly have an ample source of sunlight. I will have to devise an artificial one, and compromise it with the other crops.

[She draws some runes in the air and forms them into a little diagram of a crop square, her fingertip leaving a glowing trail of silver stardust.]

Mm . . . your plants are not very talkative, either. [because she's tried, and she's gotten the cold shoulder every single time]

Ah. I have heard that night elves have a sort of... inherent bond with nature, but it does not allow them to speak with plants like we speak now. It is a skill kept close to the green dragonflight and their kin.

So what I know is useless here? To put it simply and bluntly.
