This is a post for contacting and threading with any of the dragon mages, including Krasus/Korialstrasz. You can also use the mod contact page to tell us you need a thread.
Please state the date/time and who you'd like to respond in the subject of your reply. It will be assumed that all interactions with dragon mages take place in the sanctums unless specified otherwise.

A bright, almost coy little laugh.] You were so quick to praise my intellect a second ago! Don't worry -- neither you nor your master have anything to fear from me.
[His future self might've failed miserably, might've let all his carefully-laid plans crumble thanks to the efforts of a bunch of children. But future-him was also crippled by ten thousand years' worth of madness. What a life he might've had to look forward to! The more he hears about what's to come, the more clear it seems to him that the Legion's invasion was a blessing in disguise. Here, he has a second chance to do what he couldn't do before-- and now he has all the more reason to do it right this time.
He's quick to put a pleasant smile back on his face.] Will the other flights be as willing to compromise as you are? If I can't fill the role of a warrior, perhaps that of a diplomat is what my intellect and I are best suited for.

[So this is basically a meeting full of smilers. People smiling. All the time. This isn't unsettling or passive-aggressive at all.]
Yes and no. The blues are the most distrustful of us. The bronzes are indifferent, the greens side with the reds, and the reds are still furious that Deathwing might have killed the Dragonqueen's prime consort.
As you can see, us diplomatic types have some work ahead of us.

He listens impassively to Surion rattling off the list of strikes against the Black flight, dismay growing with every word. He's not used to having such a bad reputation -- and moreover, one normally has to do something to earn that reputation. Apparently these dragons have already gone ahead and done all that for him. Nothing can ever be easy, can it?
The sound he makes is half incredulous laughter, half derisive snort.] That's putting it lightly. Fortunately it sounds as if you're used to cleaning up other people's messes, eh?
[Poor Surion, subordinate to such a dangerous, domineering king. At least an Eliatrope king would bleed. Qilby's half-certain that Deathwing would only bleed lava-- assuming you could get a blade through that scaly hide in the first place. Not that it matters, he supposes. No one thinks of killing a king... Not until they get to be a problem, anyway.
Just so that last remark doesn't sound so much like an obvious jibe, he's quick to add:] --That would make two of us. Although I can't honestly say I've been in a situation quite as... Politically fraught as this one. Any tips for a Dragonsworn?
[His abilities are still only a shadow of what they were on his world, and that's before taking into account he's lost the Eliacube. He still has his words, but they'll only get him so far when four packs of angry dragons and an army of demons are set to descend upon them all. Surely there must be something else he can use...]

It's a little dishonest, but this is my advice: it may be beneficial not to tell others of your flight until they have formed their opinion of you.
Not everyone in the Black Dragonflight is rampant and murderous. Some are simply dedicated to their cause without the kind of self-sacrificial tendencies found in other flights. I would definitely highlight these differences if your allegiance comes into question.
sorry for the late reply, work kicked my butt this past week!
[Still -- a flight full of ambitious people who're willing to do whatever it takes to get what they want? Even if he isn't hurt by this flight simply by association, they certainly make difficult allies. Unpredictable. Hard to control. It's tough to say whether his most dangerous potential enemies here lie within the sanctum or without.
He doesn't miss the hint of feeling behind that calm expression, so Qilby's quick to sweep a courteous bow, one arm folded behind his back and one sleeve dangling at his side.] Wise advice, Surion. I appreciate you taking the time to talk.
no problem yo :)
[It's hard to tell if he's being genuine or sarcastic. That's Surion for you. He echoes Qilby's bow in kind, though not quite as low.]
I appreciate having intelligent discourse once in a while. Take care of yourself, Qilby.
