[Sure Morpheus, your Sworn completely believe that excuse. Ya huh.]

[And yeah okay maybe he wasn't expecting suspicion, but he was not expecting that level of enthusiasm. He looks surprised.]

I a-am? [da fuq is that. At least Morpheus is...proud? HE'S NOT SURE WHAT TO MAKE OF THIS. People usually initially respond with "aw noes" when they find out he's the keyblade's chosen okay! This is a new thing!] Well, thanks! ...I think.

So, what's a Druid then? Just a nature guardian?

It is a good thing. [By now the whelp snoozing in his lap starts to stir a bit, and Morpheus is momentarily distracted by scritching its belly.]

Yes. A druid does not just commune with nature, as I taught you. They do that, and much more-- he can change his shape depending on the situation, borrowing nature's power for his own. For example, a druid can learn how to turn into a giant bear, his skin so thick he wears it like armor. With that, he has immense strength and can defend his friends. Or, a druid can assume the shape of a tree, and learn how to channel life energy so that he can heal himself and his allies.

The possibilities are near endless. I have heard of druids being able to turn into birds, though I have not met one personally. A druid-bird, I mean.

Learn to turn into a giant bear, huh... [He mulls over that possibility. And like any teenage boy, he comes to a profound conclusion] Now that sounds pretty cool. Can a lot of druids learn to do that?

[The tree thing is weird though. What's the point in turning into a tree? You can't even move!]

Yes. Once you have mastered transforming into a cat and... back into a human, I think becoming a bear would not be too challenging. You simply have to think like one. Or... [He thinks of Nowi, who doesn't come around anymore, sadly.] I suppose you have to be scared enough, sometimes. It is different for everyone. I definitely recommend the 'thinking like one' option.

[He thinks about that. But unfortunately, the only bear he's ever known was Pooh. As you can see, this was a poor representative for the bear race]

So...I should just think about getting lots of honey all the time?

[Morpheus laughs at that, low and warm. The whelp squeaks in annoyance and rolls over, then continues trying to sleep. He smiles sheepishly.]

They eat many things, Sora. Fish, berries, small animals. It is very fun to watch bears fish out of the stream. They can grab them in midair with their mouths, or their big paws...

[He gives a small, apologetic laugh at the whelp's annoyance. Sorry little guy]

Heh, not the bear I know....

[Then again, even he's well aware Pooh wasn't exactly a normal bear. Or one that would last very long in a situation like this. He best stayed in his storybook]

Okay. Then once I get...used to the whole lion thing, maybe I'll try watching them. That should give me a better idea!

A bear is really just a larger, fluffier cat. With bad balance. I think it is very doable for you.

[He yawns behind his hand.]

Surely you have been working all day. Perhaps you should take a rest.

Yeah. [he nods] I'll figure it out.

[No shortage of confidence there! Even if it is weird. And...seriously Morpheus? He crosses his arms, looking a bit amused]

I should take a rest? Sure you're not just saying that so you can nap again?

Napping is an important skill, you know. And I am not always napping. Sometimes I am in the Emerald Dream.

[He doesn't seem offended by the accusation, though.]

Sure, but my friends think I sleep too much as it is.

[What with the comas and all....]

The Emerald Dream? Is that like the Greensworn's dream walking ability?

[Whoops.]

Yes! The Emerald Dream is the world as it once was-- the way the Titans envisioned it. It is sort of like the true form of the world. When you walk through dreams, you are walking through a part of the Dream.

If something bad were to happen to the Emerald Dream, the entire world would be in danger. So we watch it, and we protect it.

The Titans?

[Okay maybe he doesn't go full Jaeger at that term, but it does prompt him to have some skepticism to rise]

You mean those giant monster guys? They had a hand in this world and Emerald dream?

[His expression goes blank.]

Giant... monster... what?

The Titans are the ones who gave us our powers, who entrusted us to protect Azeroth. They are not... well, they have made other planets, probably, but they are not monsters.

[Even he can tell he put his foot in his mouth.]

Ah- Nevermind. I'm probably thinking of something else.

[That or this world is effing crazy. Whatever.]

But what you were saying...this Emerald Dream, it's...like a dream version of the world connected to this one?

[Possibly both.]

Ah... yes. As a greensworn, you should be able to access the Emerald Dream to protect yourself, if needed. It does take some practice, however. It is not unheard of for fledgling druids to forget where their body is, or accidentally get caught up in bird dreams.

I rather like bird dreams.

[Wow this doesn't sound familiar to something terrible that happened to him recently at all]

Heh...that's neat! But...I think I might stay in the waking world for awhile if that's okay.

[He nods.]

As long as you still manage to sleep enough. Younger races will get very sick if they do not get the sleep they need. I only need about three hours, but it is just so very fun...

[He drifts off, eyes fluttering closed.]
