monday(today)/afternoon/zerigosa pls!
but he still had raine to take care of him, to support him, to ask a hundred questions to when he didn't understand something. so he can feed himself, at least, and stay warm(ish) when it's important, but..
well, there's more than that, to surviving! and genis is bored. so here he is, creeping up to dragonmama a little hesitantly. she's nice, but she's, you know. intimidating too. but that's never really stopped him before.. ]
Um. Excuse me?
no subject
What do you need, little one?
[At the very least, she doesn't seem to be outright rude. It's a term of endearment, even if her tone could use a little more warmth.]
no subject
[ how do you tell a scary dragon lady that you're bored? genis looks thoughtful for a moment, his brows furrowed, but then he's climbing up onto a nice comfortable flat rock and sitting cross legged, leaning with his hands on his ankles. ]
I was just wondering if there are any.. books, around. [ or anything at all. ] There's just - a lot I want to know, and I tried going to that town, but.. they wouldn't let me in.

[... Not really. They're giant lizards. Giant lizards don't have libraries. Still, she can't say it's a stupid idea; she understands that's how the younger races study...]
The night elves have always been wary of outsiders. [She waves a hand.] They are prideful and insular. A show of good faith on your part may curry favor.
... But, I believe very little would be lost if the demonic horde just happened to demolish that particular village.
[... That doesn't make it better, Zeri.]
Still, the pursuit of knowledge is something I can appreciate. I can tutor you until the village accepts you, if you wish.

4/22 (what are azeroth dates) / surion
And so that's why even though it's been nearly a month since he'd been dropped in the middle of this war, Qilby still hasn't spoken to the so-called dragon mage of his flight. It's not for lack of trying to get information on the guy, it's just that not a single dragon in the sanctum will look at him for more than two seconds, much less speak to him (unless he broaches the subject of those eggs-- which he did once and only once.) All he's managed to get is a name, all the good it does him: Surion.
It's a shame, but thanks to recent developments, he can't put off the chat much longer. Time to find out just how things work around here.]
A word, Surion?
no subject
Ah! Qilby, was it? I hope you have been faring well.
[His smile is friendly without being terribly warm.]
no subject
Well enough. There's much in your world that's worthy of study -- it's just a pity that a war is the only reason I've been able to see it.
[A pity indeed. Usually he gets a few good decades of research done on a world before something horrible and/or cataclysmic happens. But that's not what he's concerned about here!] Having met some of my fellow Dragonsworn-- [i.e. basically ignoring them] --I've wondered for some time now... How is it that you chose us? And not just those of the Black Flight. All of us?
no subject
[Surion takes a moment to think about this.]
Well, we didn't exactly hand-pick you. With the help of the Bronze Dragonflight, we are able to see how the Legion sets its sights on other worlds. And then, well, we hope to find someone on that world who can help. Arcane magic is wild and unpredictable in its way. We do what we can to empower the Dragonsworn, but at the end of the day, it's little more than chance.
Trying to build a sustainable army out of essentially random people, as you can imagine, has its problems.

sorry for the late reply, work kicked my butt this past week!
no problem yo :)
After returning from Sin'thalas/Krasus
She bows a bit more deeply to him than is absolutely necessary. After several days in confinement and breaking out of prison, she feels just as much of a mess as she likely looks. Extra formality might not compensate for her sorry state, but at least she's trying to look like a proper Vindicator. "Ahkii ankour, Dragonmage."
I am so sorry this is late. I wasn't feeling great |D'
"You have returned, at last. Are you hurt?"
hey, no sweat
"Both Luke and I are unharmed, thanks be to the Light," she says. "He performed well under pressure, given his age. But I would prefer to save my praise for a formal report." She shifts her weight from one foot to the other, uneasy in spite of his efforts to put her at ease. "I spoke with one of the Sentinels in Sin'thalas. She was under the impression that the Dragons had attempted to purge the Kaldorei in the past, and that we Dragonsworn are accomplices of those who would kill them. Do you know why she would think so?"
no subject
"The Dragonqueen would never have condoned such activities. If this is true, it was the work of another flight..." The Black Dragonflight. He'd bet his missing two fingers on that. "I must apologize. This is something I should have absolutely known, and spared you the danger."

super duper backdated to post-kidnapping / lanadormi
Not at all fun and games.
It's all good that everything went well and nobody was hurt, but all the same the reasons behind this were still unknown to Bruce. And to him, that's pretty much a failure on its own right.
Though he still has no real liking for the dragons, he figures that the best way to understand all of this is to talk to them... which would help if any of them actually talked to him in the first place. Most of them seem to be content doing whatever it is dragons in the Bronze Dragonflight do. Stare into empty space, or something. Not that Bruce can't relate, but it's still irritating.
Eventually he just goes to the dragon he knows will at least talk to him, clearing his throat as he nears her.]
Excuse me.
no subject
Greetings, champion. I hope you are well, after the... previous excitement.
no subject
Still, that's something for later. He turns his attention back to Lanadormi, nodding once as he replies.]
Well enough, thank you. And please, just call me Bruce.
[Being called with something as weird as 'champion' is just... well, weird.]

6/16 (morning) - Morpheus
But once she knew she had better focus, she went in search of where the dragonmage was most likely sleeping. Whether in his elven form or scaly, Rose would give him a nudge to wake Morpheus up.]
Hey, wake up. I need to talk to you.
no subject
... As I was saying, there is a certain precedence for... erm... what?
[The audience of whelps he had been entertaining are gone. Probably long gone. That leaves Rose, who looks like she wants to bother him. He makes an effort to sit up. He is successful, but he yawns.]
Rose! Hello. What is it?
no subject
[She sits down.]
I want to learn the elven language. Can you teach me or know someone who can?

6/20 morning | Zerigosa, please!
She reminds herself to be polite, chants it to herself and approaches Zerigosa, clearing her throat politely before speaking up]
My apologies if I am bothering you, but may we speak for a moment?
no subject
What do you need?
[Maybe it's disrespectful, but she's always been a little aloof. Tempest doesn't look like she's injured, so.]
no subject
I was wondering if there was a way to start a . . . ["garden" sounded so domestic, now that she was thinking about it, ugh] . . . a place where we could grow our own food. Either to eat, or to use for traps, rather than dealing with the villages who are not fond of us. Temporarily. Somewhere accessible to us, but from what I can tell it is not possible in here . . . yes?

7/04 afternoon | Morpheus please!
[Fortunately, he managed to get himself back to human. Still, he's decided that it's just weird enough that maybe he should seek out some answers. And the dragon mage seemed to be the best person to do it. ]
Hey Morpheus! You awake?
no subject
Huh? What?
[He yawns loudly, blinking blearily, and then his eyes focus on Sora.]
Oh! Hello again, hero! What do you need?
no subject
[This guy... He likes Morpheus, but sometimes he wonders if he does anything but sleep. And coming from Sora of all people? That's saying something.]
There's something I wanna ask you.
[There's a slight awkward, because how in the world do you phrase this question]
The other day...I sorta...turned into a lion? [Yeah okay there's no way to make that sound not weird]
Is that something I should be worried about?
